Foot Guards 分別是: Grenadier Guards, Coldstream Guards, Scots Guards, Irish Guards, Welsh Guards.  騎兵是 The Life Guards 及 The Blues and Royal.   Grenadier Guards - 帽之羽毛在左邊, 白色, 單鈕排列 Coldstream Guards - 帽之羽毛在右邊, 紅色, 雙鈕排列 Scots Guards - 帽沒有羽毛, 鈕三粒三粒排列 Irish Guards - 帽之羽毛在右邊, 藍色, 鈕四粒四粒排列 Welsh Guards - 帽之羽毛在左邊, 白綠白色, 鈕五粒五粒排列 以上次序亦顯示各部隊的Seniority, 不容調亂. 簡單來說, Grenadier Guards 歷史最悠久, 亦最Senior, Welsh Guards 成立時間屬最年青.  但其實成立御林軍之前已有 The Regiment of Coldstream, 所以 Coldstream Guards 雖然排名第二, 但Motto 卻是 "Second to None", 他們認為自己才是最Senior. 故此 Coldstream Guards 和 Grenadier Guards 常常互相競爭, 彼此都希望勝過對方. 首先介紹褸扣特色
