仁者吉祥 ! 甫自越南弘法返回印度的敏卓林堪千仁波切,特別為了結夏安居而親書四聖諦;仁波切認為雖然大家對四聖諦耳熟能詳,或認為它只是基本的觀念,然而它是十分重要的義理。故而親書以饗十方,此次明燈燈供大法會,且讓我們以四聖諦點燃心燈;並願各位仁者於結夏安居期間以此為精進之所繫 ! The four Noble Truth. 四聖諦 佛陀說:「我發現聖諦之奧義,難以觀察、難以理解其深度和廣度、無法靠知性推理分析,唯智者方能窺其奧妙。 於此世間,若是被愉悅所主宰,因愉悅的欣喜,陶醉在愉悅之中,那麼,像這樣的眾生,就難以理解因果之律,難以明瞭緣起法。然而這些眾生其實也只是眼中被覆蓋了一層塵埃:究竟仍是可能理解真諦的。」 那麼,甚麼是苦諦呢? 生是苦;老去是苦;死是苦;憂、悲、苦、痛、哀傷、絕望、煩惱;得不到己知所欲也是苦;總體而言,五蘊熾盛是苦。那麼,甚麼又是苦的根源呢? 那就是貪愛。 貪愛是生死輪迴之根源,與慾望和愉悅感相應,無處不在,無處不有。然而話說回來,「貪愛」到底來自何處,又將去往何方?只要來到這個娑婆,美好誘人的事物就隨處可尋,這些都是貪愛生起扎根之所在;眼耳鼻舌身意都可能讓人為之陶醉,這一切,亦皆為貪愛轉起扎根之處。可見的物體、音聲、香氣、味道、身體的記憶、內心的記憶都可能令人感覺愉悅:這些,又都是貪愛轉起扎根的處所。意識、感官印象、因感官所生之印象、概念、欲望、渴望、思維和回憶都可能令人感受愉悅:這一切,俱是貪愛轉起扎根之處 ! 唯有當慾望逐漸滅絕殆盡,當對慾望完全的放下,完全至慾望中解脫之際,心中的貪婪才有可能熄滅、嗔恨心才可能盡泯、愚痴的心才有可能根除:此即是吾人所謂的涅槃。 當一個人完全解脫,心中充滿靜謐,所做已辦,知道自己不需再受輪迴之業,這就有如置於狂風中之巨石,不為所動;無論是任何形象、音聲、香氣、味道、觸感,無論是有欲還是無欲,皆無法再撼動其分毫。此人此際心中堅定,了無牽絆;當他明瞭世間所有一切對立,那麼世間再也無一物能令其起煩惱。這樣的人,心中盡無憤怒、無有憂傷,無有牽絆,完全超越生死輪迴。 是以,成為聖者的宗旨不在於乞求施捨、不在於沽名釣譽,也不在於追求完美的、禪定或是世俗的智慧。事實上,一顆毫不動搖的解脫之心,才是關鍵、才是聖者所要遵循的終極目標。 那麼,甚麼才是滅苦之道呢? 追求一切感官慾樂、包括世間所有共同的、世俗、邪惡、損人之事;或者是讓己身陷入自我毀滅、自我受辱、苦痛等等,這兩個極端,都是聖者所迴避的。祂發現了可見可行的中道,引領我們走向詳和,最終到達涅槃。 這,就是八正道,這條引領我們離苦之道: 1. 正見 2. 正思維3. 正語 4. 正業5. 正命 6. 正精進7. 正念 8. 正定 此即是聖者發現的八正道,這條道路可見、可行,通往詳和、走向滅苦,直到證悟。 ~~ 敏林堪千仁波切親書
【供燈的殊勝功德利益】: 點燈的利益有兩種:一、出世間的利益可得真智能,遠離修行上的障礙,去除五毒惡業的牽引,斷除輪回。二、世間的福報,身體健康,相貌莊嚴,眼睛明亮,眾人喜愛,不受人欺,心想如願,財富具足。如阿那律尊者,"天眼第一" 乃因供燈植福而獲得。 佛教菩薩乘十地,必須從一地至十地漸漸進修而到達十一地 ( 等覺 ),卻因為點燈的功德而不須經過這些階段,直接便可達到十一地。 眾生從現世至成佛的這段時間,皆被五毒 ( 貪、嗔、癡、慢、疑 ) 所覆蓋,無法明心見性,以至輪回生死,永無出期,在臨終往生之時身體出現四大 ( 地、水、火、風 ) 變化,五毒將會把亡者帶往三惡道。但因生前點燈的功德力量,將會保護著亡者而破除種種傷害,離開惡道。
貪心之人,會見到許多不好的情境 ( 如刀山、餓〈惡〉鬼、野獸等… ),因為點燈的功德會讓亡者遠離惡業而轉往淨土;嗔心重者,會去到地獄中承受刀山、油鍋之刑罰,因為生前點燈的功德而不受這些刑罰之苦;愚癡之人,身體會往下沉淪,一片黑暗,此時眼前便如同手電筒照亮道路般地清楚,遠離危險不會墮落;驕慢之人,會聽到野獸般的怒吼或是鬼怪邪魔之聲而生氣墮落,點燈的力量便會保護亡者無法聽到這些不善之音;疑心之人,往生時會遭受到兵器傷害 ( 如刀、劍、長矛等… ),但是卻看不到這些利器在何處,這時生前點燈的功德利益會使亡者身在光明之中,避開這些兵刃的種種加害。 ...........【齋僧一缽,獲福無窮】
佛陀至忉利天為母親說法時,天人界的天人不知應以天人們的飲食供養釋尊,或以人間的食物供養這位人天怙主 ? 後來佛陀說了 : 「我來自人間,就以人間的食物供養我吧 以此典故,故知得獲人身寶之幸運;以此典故,故知齋僧培福之殊勝! 而成就者 故於《屋世經》中,世尊曾云︰「阿難,如來安住法界中,而合掌功德不可耗盡,何況布施等餘功德。阿難,依靠佛、法、僧所生善根,輪迴中永不耗盡,皆為成就佛果之因。」

沿於傳統,自340 年前起,敏卓林寺於結夏安居期間,全寺僧眾虔修釋迦牟尼佛暨十六位主要阿羅漢弟子之祈禱法會,並致力於供養明燈數十萬盞。全寺參加修法的比丘及比丘尼超過 450位。每日從清晨五時起始,虔敬修法至傍晚六時。 晨間之修法以釋尊暨十六位阿羅漢之祈禱法會為主;下午則舉行莊嚴豐隆之盛大薈供,以利眾生積聚資糧,同時,下午亦修有超度法會以度拔超薦往生者;晚間則舉行供養地神及瑪哈嘎啦法會,並將一日虔敬修法之所有功德迴向世界和平、長壽、繁榮等一切安樂予以有情眾生。

The four Noble Truth. The Buddha said- " And I discovered that profound truth, so difficult to perceive, difficult to understand tranquillizing and sublime, which is not to be gained by mere reasoning and is visible only to the wise. " The world, however, is given to pleasure, delighted with pleasure, enchanted with pleasure. Truly, such beings will hardly understand the law of conditionality, the dependent origination of everything. Yet there are beings whose eyes are only little covered with dust: they will understand the truth". What now is the Noble truth of suffering? Birth is suffering; decay is suffering, death is suffering, sorrow, lamentation, pain, grief, and despair are suffering; not to get what one desires is sufferin; in short the five groups of existence are suffering. What, now, is the Noble truth of the Origin of Suffering? It is craving, which gives rise to fresh rebirth, and, bound up with pleasure and lust, now here, now there, finds ever-fresh delight. But where does this craving arise and take root? Whenever in the world there are dlightful and pleasurable things, there this craving rises and takes root. Eye, nose, tongue, body, and mind are delightful and pleasurable: there this craving arises and take root. Visual objects, sounds, smells, tastes, bodily impressions, and mind objects are delightful and pleasurable: there this craving arises and takes root. Consciousness, sense impressions, feeling born of sense impression, perception, will, craving, thinking, and reflection are delightful and pleasurable: there this craving arises and takes root. What, now, is the Noble truth of the Extinction of suffering? It is the complete fading away and extinction of this craving, its forsaking and abandonment, liberation and detachment from it. The extinction of greed, the extinction of hate, the extinction of delusion: this, indeed, is called Nirvana. And for a disciple thus freed, in whose heart dwells peace, there is nothing to be added to what has been done, and naught more remains to do. Just as a rock of one solid mass remains unshaken by the wind, even so neither forms, nor sounds, nor odors, nor tastes, nor contacts of any kind, neither the desired nor the undesired can cause such a one to waver; one is steadfast in mind, gained is deliverance. And one who hs considered all the contrasts of this earth, and is no more disturbed by anything whatever in the world, the Peaceful Once, freed from rage, from sorrow, and from longing, has passed beyond birth and decay. This I call neither arising, nor passing away, neither standing still, nor bein born, nor dying. There is neither foothold, nor development, nor any basis. This is the end of suffering. Hence, the purpose of the Holy life does not consist in acquiring alms, honor, or fame, nor in gaining morality, concentration, or the eye of knowledge. That unshakable deliverance of the heart: that, indeed, is the object of the Holy Life, that is its essence, that is its goal. What, now, is the Noble Truth of the Path that leads to the extinction of suffering? To give oneself up to indulgence in sensual pleasure, the base, common, vulgar, unholy, unprofitable; or to give oneself up to self-mortification, the painful, unholy, unpfrofitable: both these two extremes, the Perfect One has avoided, and has found out the Middle Path, which makes one both see and know, which leads to peace, to discernment, to Nirvana. It is the Noble Eightfold Path, the way that leads to the extinction of suffering, namely: 1. Right Understanding 2. Right thought 3. Right Speech 4. Right Action 5. Right livelihood 6. Right effort 7. Right mindfulness 8. Right concentration.
