If we have taken refuge in fake Guru without careful observation, and have attained some inheritance or empowerment from them there, but later on we weaken and lose our confidence in and cut off relationship with him because we have heard or saw his fault, this is not considered as disobeying the vows. Therefore, we should take refuge when we have made sure that this is the Guru with eminent merits after our observation. And then when we have taken refuge and attained Guru’s inheritance or blissful Vajrayāna dharma, we cannot hold deviated views, weaken and lose confidence either; otherwise, we are breaking the Vajrayāna precept.

自己沒有觀察就依止了假上師，在他們那裡得到一些傳承或灌頂，後來聽到或看到他的過失後，自己退失了信心，跟他斷絕了關係，這不算違背誓言。所以，要先觀察確定這是位具德上師後才依止。依止後也得到了上師的傳承或殊勝的密法，這時就不能有邪見也不能退失信心，不然，就破了密乘戒。
