一段來自堪布索南彭措的故事:「世界和平寶瓶計劃」的緣起
Let me cite a story I have seen somewhere. I think I saw it on a pamphlet explaining the background of peace vase.
讓我引述一個我從某處看到的故事。我想我是從一本小冊子裡看到有關和平寶瓶的背景說明。
One day, Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche was sitting with Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche in Nepal. Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche spoke at length on the degeneration of the elements in the universe and the ways to revitalize these energies. He said there are termas of Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo and Chokgyur Lingpa concerning the methods to make peace vases and plant them in different places. Having heard this, Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche said he would take up the project. Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche was very pleased and said, “It’s timely that you said this. Your predecessor, Jamyang Khyentse Chokyi Lodro always used to talk about such a project”. Khyentse Rinpoche says he doesn’t know why he said this, because he is not even able to look after Dzongsar Institute properly.
有一天,在尼泊爾,宗薩欽哲仁波切與怙主頂果欽哲仁波切坐在一起,頂果欽哲仁波切花了很長一段時間,談到有關宇宙元素(大種)的衰敗以及使這些能量復甦的方法。他說,在蔣揚欽哲旺波與秋吉林巴所取出的一些伏藏法中,含有關於製作和平寶瓶並將它們埋在不同地點的方法。聽到此,宗薩欽哲仁波切說他願意肩負這項計劃的責任。頂果欽哲仁波切非常高興,並說:「你這麼說,恰是時機。你的前世蔣揚欽哲確吉羅卓,總是提及這個計劃。」(宗薩)欽哲仁波切說,他不知道自己為何這樣回答,因為他甚至都還沒能力把宗薩佛學院照料好。
Then the peace vases were made in Bhutan and blessed by Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche before he passed away in 1991. It is said that the peace vases were consecrated by many Tibetan masters including Kenting Tai Situ Rinpoche.
其後,怙主頂果欽哲仁波切在不丹製作了這些和平寶瓶,並於1991年圓寂前親自加持。據說,許多西藏大師曾為和平寶瓶開光聖化,其中包括大司徒仁波切。
I think the story is valid because there’s another similar story. When Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, accompanied by Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche, Rabjam Rinpoche, Namkhai Nyingpo Rinpoche and Tulku Pema Wangyal, visited Tibet in the 1980s, a person offered a small statue of Manjushri that had belonged to Mipham Rinpoche. The statue is believed to have spoken to Mipham Rinpoche. The statue was lost during the cultural revolution. Upon receipt of the statue Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche wept profusely out of joy. Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche who was present there accidently said “I will offer one hundred thousand butter lamps in front of this statue”. At this, Dilgo Khyentse said, “If you could do this, you’ll become a mahapandita”. In the midst of building Dzongsar shedra and other dharma activities, Khyentse Rinpoche forgot the pledge he had made before Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche. Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche passed away in 1991. Later, after the enthronment of Yangsi Rinpoche at Shechen monastery in Nepal, Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche gave the transmission for the collected writings of Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse upon Tulku Pema Wangyal’s request. While giving the transmission, Rinpoche came across a sadhana for making offerings to Manjushri. In the colophon, it’s written, “In the future, Jamyang Thupten Chokyi Gyatso will offer one hundred thousand butter lamps in front of this Manjushri statue”. So, Rinpoche offered 100,000 butter lamps at Shechen monastery in 1999-2000. The sacred Manjushri statue is inside the Manjushri statue that sits inside the vase-shaped dome of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche’s reliquary stupa at Shechen Monastery.
我想,這故事是真實的,因為還有一個類似的故事。在1980年代,當頂果欽哲仁波切由宗薩欽哲仁波切、(雪謙)冉江仁波切、南開寧波仁波切、祖古貝瑪旺嘉仁波切等陪同造訪西藏時,有人供養了一尊原屬於米龐仁波切的文殊師利菩薩小塑像,相傳這尊佛像曾對米龐仁波切開口說話,並在文革時期佚失了。當頂果欽哲仁波切收到這尊佛像時,不禁激動到喜極而泣。宗薩欽哲仁波切恰好在場,他說到:「我將在這尊佛像前供養十萬盞酥油燈。」對此,頂果欽哲答到:「若你能如此做,你便可成為一名大班智達。」隨著宗薩佛學院的建造以及其他傳法的行程,(宗薩)欽哲仁波切對於他在頂果欽哲仁波切面前所許下的承諾已然淡忘。而頂果欽哲仁波切於1991年圓寂了。接著,在揚希仁波切於尼泊爾雪謙寺的坐床(陞座)大典之後,基於祖古貝瑪旺嘉仁波切的請求,宗薩欽哲仁波切給予了怙主頂果欽哲著作集結的口傳。於口傳的進行當中,仁波切恰巧看到一本關於供養文殊菩薩的儀軌,在法本的跋中寫到:「於未來,蔣揚圖登確吉嘉措將在這尊文殊菩薩的塑像前供養十萬盞油燈。」因此,於1999年至2000年間,仁波切在雪謙寺供養了十萬盞明燈。這尊神聖的文殊菩薩塑像,目前被安置在雪謙寺頂果欽哲仁波切舍利塔如寶瓶般的圓頂中所坐著的文殊菩薩塑像內。
