When we take refuge, whom do we exactly take refuge in? Many people say that we take refuge in certain Guru. In fact, whoever takes refuge does not take refuge in the Guru, and does not rely on the Guru. What we truly take refuge in and rely on is the Three Jewels: the Buddha, the Dharma and the Sangha, not certain monk. The Guru is only a helper, connecting everyone with the Three Jewels.

皈依的時候究竟是皈依誰？很多人說是皈依某位上師。其實，無論誰皈依，都不是皈依上師這個人，不是依靠上師這個人。我們真正皈依和依靠的是佛法僧三寶，而不是某位出家人。上師只是一個助緣者，把大家和三寶連接起來。
