Without renunciation, no matter how much we practice, we still have greed and clinging towards the Samsara. Likewise, when the bird’s wings are bound with heavy stones, no matter how hard the bird tries, it cannot fly. Similarly, once we have greed and clinging towards the Samsara, no matter how much we want to fly we cannot fly, and no matter how much we want to obtain liberation we cannot get liberated.

沒有出離心，我們再怎麼修都還會對輪迴有貪心、有執著，這就像在鳥兒的翅膀上綁上重石頭，鳥兒再怎麼努力也無法飛翔。同樣，一旦對輪迴有了貪心執著，我們再怎麼想飛也飛不起來，再怎麼想解脫也解脫不了。
